Safer than juicing, probably…

What started out as an April Fool’s joke has now become a reality, as Razer has announced a new branded gaming drink named Respawn. The company has previously pitched a similar beverage in the past as a prank, beginning in 2010 with Project Venom and again in April of 2019 with Venom V2 shown below.
In the previous iteration you drank the fluid then changed its nano capabilities with Razer Synapse, which would actually be cool aside from the brain wiring part, but the actual Respawn drink is a simple beverage that you mix with water for “mental enhancement.” Razer takes pains in its press release to make sure it is understood that this is not an energy drink.
So what exactly is a “mental enhancement” drink? Here’s how Razer describes it: “Designed with ingredients like choline, green tea extract, B vitamins and 95mg of caffeine that help support increased focus, reaction time, and mental stamina, the formula was developed from the ground up for gamers.”
Razer points out that like some energy drinks that have a lot of sugar, its own zero-sugar recipe won’t make you crash after its effects have taken place.
The Respawn drink will be available in four flavors: Green Apple,Tropical Pineapple, Pomegranate Watermelon and Blue Raspberry. You just pour a packet into whatever cup you prefer (Razer’s branded tumbler is not included) and mix it together.
Our very own Seth Macy was sent some samples, and reported, “It definitely has enough of a kick to get over the mid-afternoon slump.”
A box of Razer Respawn, which includes 20 individual packets, will set you back $24.99. The insulated metal tumbler is $29.99.
